Hot-Dogs and The Newly Wed Game
The Joy Club representing Varnville First Baptist Church enjoyed fellowship and Thanksgiving Blessings by celebrating with hot-dogs, chili, and all the trimmings which makes a super great hot-dog. Fifty plus members attended the event. Entertainment for the evening was The Newly Wed Game. Four couples – Tommy and Phyllis Kelly, Jay and Jan Collars, Wade and Julie Ferguson, Fred and Vicki Tuten - participated in the challenges of attempting to think as their spouse would think. We thought Tommy Kelly would be black and blue from his own participation and in counseling all day with the other couples
Denny and Geri Szucs chaired the Thanksgiving event and Bobby and Carol Freeman were hosts for The Newly Wed Game. It was hilarious to hear responses from the participants as to how much, or how little, each knew about his/her spouse. Wade and Julie Ferguson had the most correct answers. Good luck to all the couples in trying to repair a relationship tarnished by some of the answers!
